For centuries, Russia have carefully preserved its wealth, and today we have an incredible opportunity to visit wonderful places, which, despite the hectic pace of modern life, have preserved Russian national colors.

An ethnographic exhibition dedicated to the life of the indigenous population of the Karelian Isthmus since ancient times (5,000 years BC) until the new time was created in the historical-ethnographic museum "Yalkala" (Ilyichevo, Vyborgsky district). The former house of the Parviainen family house an ethnographic exposition is created. The exibition recreats the situation in the Finnish farmstead of the first third of the 20th century.

In the Vinnytsia House of Culture, the Vepsa Folklore Center was opened on the initiative of the inhabitants of the Vinnytsia village of the Podporozhsky district in order to preserve and develop traditional Vepsian crafts and language. Annually in village Vinnitsa Podporozhsky region Veps folklore festival is held. The festival "Tree of Life" is a plexus of pagan holidays and modern festivities, in which representatives of indigenous peoples of the north and north-east of the Leningrad region - Veps, Finns, Karelians, national ensembles from the Leningrad and Vologda regions, the Republic of Karelia participate. The traditional weekend of Veps culture "ENARNE MA" is held in the first weekend of July in the village of Tervenichi and the village of Vanozero, Lodeinopolskiy district. Indigenous small peoples in the territory of the Boksitogorsky district - Karelians and Vepsians carry their culture, history, customs, traditions, all those values ​​that form the basis of their self-esteem and pride. Annually in July in the village of Sidorovo in the Boksitogorsky district a Vepsian culture festival "Cheese Day" is held. The holiday program includes: celebratory service, consecration of dairy products, performance of Veps folklore groups, Vepsian games and contests, competitions, exhibition of masters of decorative and applied art.

Every year in the village of Vystino of Kingisepp district there is a theatrical regional holiday of Izhora culture "Restoring, save". In the program of the festival: the performance of folklore groups, national Izhora and Northern dances with the audience, the exhibition-sale of products of folk applied art, traditional izhor cuisine, master classes for children and adults. Traditionally, folk groups traditionally take part in the festival: Izhora folklore ensemble "Rybachka", Izhora folklore ensemble "Soikinsky tunes", in which local folklore is studied in the Izhora language, Izhora community "Shoykula".
